Xiaomi Enters the EREV Arena: SkyNomad SUV Family Launches in China From About $31,275

Xiaomi has officially introduced its SkyNomad SUV range in China, marking the company’s first step into extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs). The lineup consists of four models, with pricing that begins at RMB 209,900, or roughly $31,275.

This launch positions Xiaomi against well-known EREV players in the Chinese market, including Li Auto and AITO, which is backed by Huawei. Notably, the SkyNomad’s starting figure undercuts the flagship EREV offerings from those established brands, giving Xiaomi a price advantage as it enters a new segment.

The move signals Xiaomi’s ambition to broaden its automotive footprint beyond its previous EV efforts, targeting the growing demand for extended-range models that combine electric driving with a combustion engine for supplemental range.
