1. Who we are

AutoVoltix ("we", "us") operates autovoltix.net, an electric and hybrid vehicle news and comparison website. This policy explains what data we process, why, and what rights you have.

2. What data we collect

  • Usage data: if you consent to analytics, we (via Google Analytics) or Cloudflare (via cookieless Web Analytics, no consent required) collect aggregated data such as pages visited, referrer, device/browser type, and approximate location (country/region level).
  • Contact data: if you email us, we process the email address and message content you provide, solely to respond to you.
  • We do not currently operate user accounts, logins, or comment systems, so we do not collect passwords or profile data.

4. Third-party services

  • Cloudflare — our hosting and security provider; also offers cookieless Web Analytics we may use without requiring consent.
  • Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay — sources for editorial images; loading an image may involve a request to their CDN.

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: consent (Art. 6(1)(a), for analytics/advertising cookies), and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f), for essential site operation and responding to inquiries you send us).

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (GDPR, EEA/UK/Switzerland). Turkish residents have equivalent rights under KVKK Article 11, including the right to learn whether your data is processed and to request correction or deletion. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale or sharing" of personal information — since AdSense advertising cookies can constitute a "share" under CCPA's broad definition, declining our cookie banner opts you out of this. Aggregated analytics data is retained per the retention settings of the relevant provider (Google Analytics, Cloudflare). Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

8. International data transfers

Our infrastructure (Cloudflare) and third-party services (Google) may process data outside your country of residence, under those providers' respective safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

9. Children's privacy

AutoVoltix is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction).
