Solaris Brings 600 km Electric Bus to Madrid's FIAA 2026

Solaris has unveiled its Urbino 15 LE electric at the FIAA Madrid 2026 commercial vehicle show. The bus stands out because its eSORT range reaches 600 kilometers, a figure that allows it to handle suburban and regional routes previously reserved for diesel coaches.

This is the first time an electric bus from Solaris can match diesel coaches on those duty cycles, according to the company. The Urbino 15 LE electric is designed for operators who need long-distance capability without switching to a different fuel type.

The debut at FIAA Madrid 2026, a key event for the Spanish and Portuguese markets, signals Solaris’s push into regional transport segments where range has been a barrier for battery-electric vehicles.
