Nissan Pixo EV Returns as a Sub-$25,000 City Car in First Leaked Images

Nissan is resurrecting the Pixo nameplate, this time as a compact battery-electric hatchback aimed at the budget end of the market. The original Pixo was a small gasoline city car, so bringing the badge back on an EV signals how Nissan intends to compete in the affordable segment.

The starting price is slated to land below $25,000, which would make it one of the more accessible electric options from a mainstream brand. Early images suggest a tidy, upright urban footprint rather than the crossover styling that dominates many current EV lineups.

Nissan has not yet detailed range, battery size, or production timing. What is clear is the strategy: a smaller, cheaper electric model to sit beneath the Leaf and Ariya and draw in buyers who have been priced out of the EV market so far.
