Luxeed Expands RX Lineup With Smaller 81-kWh Battery, Cuts Entry Pre-Sale Price by 10%

Luxeed, the EV brand backed by Huawei, has broadened the RX SUV family with a new entry-level variant that uses an 81-kWh battery pack. This addition pushes the starting pre-sale price down by roughly 10%, making the RX more accessible to buyers in its segment.

The move targets customers who may not need the longest range but still want the RX’s Huawei-linked technology and design. By offering a smaller battery, Luxeed reduces the barrier to entry while keeping the model competitive in China’s crowded electric SUV market.

The RX now spans multiple battery options, giving the brand a wider price range to attract different buyers. Pre-sales for the new version are already underway, and the lower entry point could help Luxeed gain traction against rival electric SUVs.
