Kia Unveils PV7 Electric Van: Bigger, 800-Volt, Arriving in Europe in Late 2027

At the IAA Transportation show, Kia took the wraps off the PV7, a new electric van that steps up from the smaller PV5 in almost every dimension. The PV7 offers more cargo space and a larger battery pack, and it marks Kia’s first commercial vehicle to adopt an 800-volt electrical architecture.

The move to 800 volts brings faster charging and improved efficiency, which should help the PV7 compete in the growing electric commercial vehicle segment. Kia plans to roll out the PV7 in Europe during the second half of 2027.

The PV7 is the second model in Kia’s PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) strategy, following the PV5. With its larger size and advanced electrical system, the PV7 is positioned to serve businesses that need more range and payload capacity from an electric van.
