Hyundai Motor Group and African Development Bank Forge Long-Term Sustainability Alliance

Hyundai Motor Group has taken a significant step toward expanding its footprint in Africa by signing a Letter of Intent with the African Development Bank (AfDB). The agreement establishes a framework for long-term strategic collaboration aimed at driving sustainable development across the continent.
The partnership is designed to merge Hyundai’s industrial and business capabilities with the AfDB’s development financing expertise. By combining these strengths, the two organizations hope to unlock tangible growth opportunities that support both economic progress and environmental goals.
Their collaboration will focus on six key areas, with a strong emphasis on the clean energy transition, transport infrastructure, and the development of an electric vehicle value chain. This approach signals a broader push to integrate EV technology and renewable energy solutions into Africa’s evolving mobility landscape. The agreement lays the foundation for what both parties describe as a lasting partnership.
