Geely EX2 Concepts Reveal Drift-Happy Future for China's Best-Selling EV

Geely has unveiled two concept versions of its EX2—a model that currently holds the title of China’s best-selling EV—and both are built to slide. Called the EX2 Track and EX2 Street, the concepts are designed to highlight how much personalization potential the platform has for driving enthusiasts.

Rather than chasing outright lap times, the pair emphasizes the growing appetite for customizing electric vehicles. The EX2 Track leans toward circuit-focused hardware, while the EX2 Street keeps things road-legal with a sportier edge. Geely hasn’t revealed full specifications, so details on power, suspension, or production intent remain under wraps.

The message, though, is clear: affordable mainstream EVs don’t have to be appliances. With the EX2 already dominating Chinese sales charts, Geely is betting that a vibrant aftermarket and factory-backed performance variants can give its compact electric car a second life as a fan favorite.
