BYD's Best-Selling Denza Z9 GT Gains a More Affordable Trim

BYD is expanding the Denza Z9 GT lineup with a new three-motor version set to arrive on September 9. Positioned between the existing range-topping Performance model and the rear-wheel-drive Flagship, the fresh variant is expected to carry a starting price of roughly $50,000, according to Electrek.

The move gives buyers a middle-ground option in a luxury electric grand tourer that has become BYD’s strongest seller in the segment. While the current Performance and Flagship RWD versions bracket the range, the incoming tri-motor trim aims to close the pricing gap without stripping away the model’s performance character.

BYD has not yet detailed full specifications for the new Z9 GT, so it remains unclear whether output or equipment will differ from the existing Performance variant. The company is expected to share more information when the model officially debuts next week.
