Avatr Streamlines 2026 Avatr 06 Lineup, Makes Huawei ADS 5 Standard

Avatr has refreshed its Avatr 06 sedan for the 2026 model year, and the biggest change isn’t under the skin — it’s in the showroom configurator. The Changan, CATL and Huawei-backed brand has cut the range down to just two Max trims, dropping the entry-level and dual-motor all-wheel-drive options that were part of the original launch in April 2025.

Pricing reflects that simplification. The Max EREV carries a list price of 219,900 yuan, while the Max BEV sits at 229,900 yuan. A limited-time cash incentive of 14,000 yuan pulls those figures down to 205,900 yuan and 215,900 yuan respectively. That means the sticker price actually climbs versus the outgoing entry model, but the discounted figure undercuts the previous starting point. Buyers ordering between October 15 and October 31 can also access a benefits package Avatr values at up to 58,000 yuan, which bundles zero-gravity front seats, a voucher covering the full ADS Max feature package, exterior color discounts and a lifetime warranty on the battery, motor and control electronics for the original owner.

The headline technical story is the standard fitment of Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 driver assistance system, built on the WEWA 2.0 architecture and paired with upgraded 4D millimeter-wave radar. The suite supports navigation down to individual charging bays and roaming cruise assist, while the Qiankun CAS 5.0 omnidirectional collision avoidance system watches the surroundings. Avatr has also reworked the door hardware — semi-concealed exterior handles and revised interior emergency mechanical releases give occupants and rescuers a backup path out.

The two powertrains diverge sharply. The EREV pairs a 1.5-liter range extender with a single rear motor making 231 kW, reaching 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds from a 32.3-kWh CATL LFP pack good for 230 km of CLTC electric range and 1,190 km combined. The BEV rides an 800-volt silicon carbide platform with a 252-kW rear motor, a 6.1-second sprint and a 75.46-kWh CATL Shenxing supercharging battery delivering 650 km CLTC. Both packs are larger than before, and the BEV can go from 30 to 80 percent in under ten minutes. Dimensions are unchanged at 4,855 mm long with a 2,940 mm wheelbase.

Inside, the 06 keeps its 35.4-inch 4K panoramic display, 15.6-inch central touchscreen, two 6.7-inch rear screens, Nappa leather and a Meridian audio system, with power-operated front doors. The sedan is Avatr’s second four-door after the Avatr 12 and its third model offered in both BEV and EREV form — a dual-powertrain approach the brand is leaning on heavily as it also prepares the T09 flagship SUV with a triple-motor plug-in hybrid setup.
