Zapgo Launches Its Biggest Charging Site Yet in Northern England

Charge point operator Zapgo has cut the ribbon on its largest charging location so far, a DC fast charging hub in the coastal town of Barrow-in-Furness in Northern England. The site sits within Sowerby Wood Business Park.

The hub provides ten charging bays in total, two of which are designed for full accessibility. Power comes from five Alpitronic units, each rated at 200 kW. Zapgo says drivers can also make use of on-site amenities while their vehicles charge.

The opening marks a step up in scale for the operator, which is expanding its network across the UK as demand for rapid charging continues to grow.
