Xpeng Breaks 50,000 Monthly Deliveries for the First Time as Overseas Sales Surge

Xpeng just had its best month ever. The Guangzhou-based EV maker delivered 50,237 vehicles in October, clearing the 50,000 mark for the first time and beating its previous high of 42,013 set a year earlier.

The number represents a 19.57% jump year-on-year and a 21.77% gain over September, according to figures the company published Sunday. More importantly, it snaps a brief run of shrinking year-on-year comparisons — September had come in slightly below 2025 levels.

Export engine does the heavy lifting

What makes the October result stand out is where the cars went. Xpeng shipped 13,326 vehicles abroad last month, a monthly record and a 166% increase over October 2025.

Exports climbed 32.53% from September and now account for 26.53% of total volume, up from 24.37% a month earlier. Domestic deliveries, meanwhile, landed at 36,911 units — the strongest home-market figure in a year.

For the first ten months of 2026, Xpeng has moved 334,604 vehicles. That’s still 5.80% behind the same stretch last year, though the gap has narrowed from 9.20% at the nine-month point. Overseas volume alone reached 72,805 units over that period, roughly 21.76% of the total.

Mona L05 arrives at the right moment

The delivery record arrives just as Xpeng starts pushing its freshest product into showrooms. The Mona L05, a five-seat SUV and the third model in the Mona family, went on sale in China on October 29, with customer handovers starting November 1.

It’s offered as a battery-electric vehicle and as an extended-range electric vehicle, with a limited-time starting price of 139,800 yuan (about $20,820). Xpeng says the 5,000 units earmarked for quick delivery were claimed within three minutes of the launch. Two years in, the Mona line has now passed 360,000 cumulative deliveries.

Global shipments of the L05 began October 26, and the model is slated for sale in 65 countries and regions — a clear signal that Xpeng wants the Mona badge to carry weight outside China too.

The 60,000 question

Premium models are part of the overseas plan as well. Xpeng says its flagship GX SUV has drawn close to 4,000 orders in the Middle East even before local pricing was announced, and the company planned to launch the GX and G9L in the region shortly after October 27.

As of that date, Xpeng’s retail footprint spanned 83 countries and more than 1,200 overseas stores.

Back in August, chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng told investors the target was to exceed 60,000 monthly sales in the fourth quarter, leaning on the G9L and Mona L05 to get there. Hitting that would mean growing another 19.43% from October’s tally — which puts the L05 ramp squarely in the spotlight for the rest of the year.
