Windrose Electric Trucks Begin Sydney–Canberra Freight Runs in Australia

Windrose has delivered its first electric trucks to Australia, where they will haul freight on the corridor linking Sydney with the national capital, Canberra. The vehicles mark the brand’s initial entry into the country’s commercial transport fleet.

According to the company, the trucks offer a range of roughly 600 kilometres, enough to cover the Sydney–Canberra route without recharging along the way. A next-generation version is expected to push that figure beyond 900 kilometres.

The arrival adds another electric option to Australia’s long-haul freight sector, where operators are weighing range, payload and charging infrastructure against diesel costs.
