WEVC Partners with Qatari Investor to Launch Qatar's First EV Manufacturing Plant

British electric vehicle developer Watt Electric Vehicle Company (WEVC) has entered into a partnership with Qatari investment firm JTA to build what will be Qatar’s first dedicated electric vehicle manufacturing facility. The plant is slated to begin production in early 2028, marking a significant step in the region’s transition to electric mobility.

The agreement, announced recently, will see WEVC produce electric cars and vans at the new Qatari site. This move aligns with Qatar’s broader efforts to diversify its economy and invest in sustainable technologies. The facility will be the first of its kind in the country, dedicated exclusively to EV production.
