Volvo Drops EX40 EV in North America, Refreshes XC40 Instead

Volvo is pulling the plug on the all-electric EX40 in North America starting next year, even though the 40-Series lineup is about to get a global update. The move follows the earlier discontinuation of the related EC40 and the decision not to bring the smaller EX30 EV to the region. Volvo has also adjusted its electrification goals, signaling a more cautious approach to EVs in this market.
