Nissan Revives Pixo Nameplate for New A-Segment Electric City Car

Nissan is bringing back the Pixo badge for its upcoming A-segment battery-electric city car, signaling a fresh push into Europe’s smallest and most hotly contested vehicle class. The nameplate, previously used on a compact hatchback, now fronts an all-electric proposition as the Japanese automaker fills out its zero-emission lineup below existing models.

The reveal sets up a September milestone, with the Pixo positioned as a compact EV aimed at urban drivers. It will land in a segment where legacy brands, Chinese newcomers and established European players are all fighting for space, making pricing, range and packaging critical to standing out.

Nissan has not yet detailed powertrain specifications, pricing or market-by-market launch timing. What is clear is the strategic intent: a small, affordable electric city car to sit at the entry point of the brand’s EV range in Europe, a region where demand for compact zero-emission models is growing but competition is intense.
