New Rebates Target EV Chargers and Tools at Dealerships and Repair Shops

A fresh round of rebate funding has been introduced to support the installation of electric vehicle chargers at car dealerships, repair shops and mechanic workshops. The program also extends to covering the cost of tools and equipment needed to service EVs.

The aim is to ease the financial burden on businesses that want to prepare for the growing number of electric vehicles on the road. By helping with both charging infrastructure and workshop equipment, the rebates address two key barriers that often slow down the transition for service providers.

Dealerships, independent repairers and mechanics are all eligible under the scheme, which is designed to make EV readiness more accessible across the automotive service sector.
