Liverpool City Region Orders 30 Alexander Dennis Enviro100EV Electric Midibuses

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has placed an order for 30 Enviro100EV battery-electric midibuses from Alexander Dennis. This purchase is part of a larger procurement for at least 207 buses, with a total value of £57 million (around €66 million). The first deliveries are expected in 2027.

These midibuses are designed for zero-emission operation, contributing to the region’s efforts to modernize its public transport fleet. Alexander Dennis, a UK-based manufacturer, will supply the vehicles as part of the broader order that includes multiple bus types.

The order reflects a growing trend among UK authorities to invest in electric buses to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality. Liverpool’s commitment is one of several similar initiatives across the country, supported by government funding aimed at decarbonizing public transport.
