Kempower to Power DP World's Canadian Port Terminals with DC Fast Charging

DP World has turned to Finnish charging specialist Kempower to electrify its Canadian port operations. Under a newly signed framework agreement, Kempower will deliver DC fast charging hardware and supporting services across every DP World terminal in the country, giving the logistics giant a single, consistent charging setup from coast to coast.

The deal centers on standardizing charging infrastructure across DP World’s Canadian sites, which should simplify deployment and maintenance as more of the company’s fleet goes electric. Kempower’s equipment is slated to serve the service vehicles that keep port operations moving, replacing diesel-powered units with battery-electric alternatives on the ground.

The arrangement reflects a broader trend among port and logistics operators, where heavy-duty equipment and yard vehicles are increasingly being converted to electric power to cut emissions in and around densely populated coastal areas.
