Hyundai's Baby SUV Gets a Big Makeover for 2027

Hyundai is preparing a substantial update for its smallest SUV in Europe, the Venue, with a refreshed design and new features for the 2027 model year. While full details are still under wraps, the changes are expected to keep the compact crossover competitive in a crowded segment.
The current Venue has been on sale since 2019 and received a minor facelift in 2022. This upcoming overhaul is likely to bring a bolder front fascia, updated lighting signatures, and revised interior materials. Hyundai may also introduce new connectivity and driver-assistance technologies to align the Venue with its larger siblings.
Under the hood, the 2027 Venue is anticipated to carry over its existing powertrain options, which in Europe include a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a mild-hybrid system. A full hybrid variant has not been confirmed, but Hyundai has been expanding its electrified lineup across the range.
Positioned below the Kona, the Venue competes with the likes of the Ford Puma, Nissan Juke, and Renault Captur. A comprehensive update is crucial to maintain its appeal, especially as rivals introduce more efficient and tech-laden offerings. The 2027 model is expected to debut later this year, with sales starting in early 2027.
