Ford Explores Inductive Charging for EVs While Driving

Ford is continuing to investigate inductive charging technology that could allow electric vehicles to charge while in motion. The system uses coils embedded in the road to transfer electricity wirelessly to a receiver on the vehicle, eliminating the need to stop at charging stations.
