China Sets Ambitious Goal: New Energy Vehicles to Hit 70% of Passenger Car Sales by 2030

China has introduced a new five-year plan for new energy vehicles (NEVs) that sets a target for NEVs to make up 70% of passenger car sales by 2030. For commercial vehicles, the plan aims for a 40% NEV share within the same timeframe.
