BYD's Long-Haul Electric Truck Earns Five-Star Euro NCAP Rating at IAA

BYD’s ETT 44 has become the first long-haul electric truck to receive a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, with the assessment announced at the IAA transportation event. The result positions the Chinese manufacturer’s heavy-duty electric model as a reference point for crash safety and occupant protection in the commercial vehicle segment.

Euro NCAP’s evaluation of trucks is a relatively recent expansion of the organization’s testing remit, which for years focused on passenger cars.
