Audi Opens UK Order Books for A2 e-tron, Priced From £32,200

Audi has begun taking orders in the United Kingdom for its new A2 e-tron, with the compact electric model carrying an on-the-road starting price of £32,200. The German manufacturer confirmed that the first customer deliveries in the UK are scheduled to begin in early 2027.
The A2 e-tron revives a nameplate that Audi first used on a small, aluminium-intensive hatchback in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This time, however, the model arrives as a fully electric proposition aimed at the growing compact EV segment. At £32,200 OTR, the car is positioned toward the accessible end of Audi’s electric lineup, below larger models such as the Q4 e-tron and Q6 e-tron.
The pricing puts the A2 e-tron into direct competition with a crowded field of compact electric hatchbacks and crossovers that have launched in the UK over the past couple of years. Rivals from both established European brands and newer entrants have pushed into this price bracket, making value and running costs key battlegrounds for Audi’s latest EV.
Audi has not yet detailed the full UK specification sheet or the complete trim structure in this announcement, so buyers will need to wait for further information on range, battery size and charging performance. What is clear is the timeline: order books are now open, and the first cars should reach British customers in the opening months of 2027.
For Audi, the A2 e-tron represents another step in its broader electric transition, adding a smaller, more affordable option to a range that has so far leaned toward larger SUVs and premium sedans. The compact class is where many automakers expect the next wave of EV adoption to happen, and Audi is now staking a claim in that space with a familiar badge and a sub-£33,000 entry point.
