Aratas America Unveils G3VH SiC MOSFET Relay for High-Voltage EV Systems

Aratas America, the company formerly known as Omron Electronic Components, has introduced a new solid-state relay designed for demanding electric vehicle applications. The G3VH leverages silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFET technology to handle load voltages of either 1,800 V or 3,300 V, making it suitable for high-voltage battery disconnects and charging infrastructure. The relay also provides a dielectric strength of 5,000 Vrms between its input and output, ensuring robust isolation between the low-voltage control circuitry and the high-voltage power path. Available with PCB terminals, the G3VH is positioned to enhance safety and reliability in next-generation EV architectures. By spinning off into Aratas America, the former Omron division aims to sharpen its focus on the rapidly evolving electrification market.
