Amazon Adds 27 Mercedes eActros 600 Electric Trucks to German Delivery Fleet

Mercedes-Benz Trucks has begun delivering its eActros 600 to Amazon in Germany, with the first 27 units now in the retailer’s hands. The handover marks a step in the online giant’s effort to shift more of its logistics operations onto electric power.

By the close of the year, Amazon expects to have more than 50 of these battery-electric trucks running in the country. The eActros 600, designed for long-distance hauling, is part of Mercedes-Benz’s broader push to electrify heavy road transport.

The move reflects growing momentum among large logistics operators to test and adopt electric tractors for regional and long-haul routes, where charging infrastructure and range remain key considerations.
