Wallbox Taps Enode to Bring Its Chargers Into European Energy Apps

Wallbox has struck a partnership with Enode that will let the charger maker appear inside energy suppliers’ apps across Europe. Rather than assembling a separate integration for every utility, Wallbox plugs into Enode’s platform once and reaches the utilities that are already connected to it.
The appeal for Wallbox is reach without the engineering overhead. Energy providers increasingly want to offer their customers charger control, smart scheduling and tariff-aware charging, but stitching together dozens of individual OEM integrations is slow work. Enode’s role is to sit in the middle and make that connection repeatable.
For drivers, the practical effect is that a Wallbox unit can be managed from the app they already use to track their power account, opening the door to time-of-use rates and demand-response schemes that reward charging away from peak hours.
Neither company disclosed financial terms or a timeline for which markets and utilities will go live first. The move fits a wider pattern in Europe, where energy retailers and charging hardware makers are teaming up to make home charging part of the broader electricity relationship rather than a standalone gadget.
