Vertical Aerospace Opens UK's First Air Taxi Manufacturing Hub

Vertical Aerospace has unveiled what it describes as the UK’s first dedicated air taxi production centre, located at Cotswold Airport. The facility is set to assemble the company’s Valo aircraft as it pushes toward commercial certification in 2029.

The opening marks a significant step for the British eVTOL developer, which is working to move from prototype testing into serial manufacturing. Cotswold Airport provides the space and infrastructure needed for assembly operations, positioning the site as the cornerstone of Vertical’s production plans.

Certification remains the key milestone ahead. With 2029 set as the target for commercial approval, the new centre gives Vertical Aerospace a physical base to refine its manufacturing processes while regulators continue to assess the Valo for passenger operations.
