Türkiye's August 2026 EV Sales: Togg Holds the Top Spot

Türkiye’s electric vehicle market has a new monthly scoreboard, and the domestic brand Togg has once again taken first place in August 2026 sales. The result keeps the national marque at the front of a market where competition has been steadily tightening over the past two years.
The monthly ranking matters because Türkiye’s EV segment has grown far beyond a novelty niche. Buyers now weigh a widening set of options, from imported Chinese and European models to locally assembled vehicles, and monthly registration data has become a reliable gauge of which brands are converting interest into actual deliveries. Togg’s continued lead suggests its lineup still resonates with Turkish drivers on price, charging access and national-brand appeal.
Behind the leader, the rest of the table reflects the same trend seen throughout the year: a mix of established automakers and newer entrants jostling for position, with volumes concentrated among a handful of high-selling models. Small shifts between adjacent brands can hinge on delivery timing, incentives and how quickly new trims reach dealers.
August’s figures also arrive as Türkiye’s charging network continues to expand and more households treat an EV as a primary car rather than a second vehicle. That shift puts pressure on manufacturers to compete not just on sticker price but on range, software and after-sales support.
With the year now well into its second half, the monthly standings will be watched closely for signs of whether Togg can defend its lead or whether an import rival closes the gap before the year ends.
