Three Bolt-On Fixes for the Silverado and Sierra Ownership Annoyances Nobody Talks About

Big pickups ace the heavy lifting. It’s the small, daily stuff — climbing in with muddy boots, carpet that swallows trail grit, gear rolling around the back seat — that grinds owners down over time.
For 2019–2026 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra owners, OEDRO has put together a trio of bolt-on accessories aimed squarely at those irritations. None of them are glamorous. All of them are the kind of thing you notice every single morning.
Getting in shouldn’t feel like a gym session
Factory rocker panels get slick in the rain, and hauling yourself up one-handed while balancing a coffee is a familiar routine. Kids need a boost. Older passengers hesitate.
OEDRO’s answer is a set of two-step running boards in heavy-duty carbon steel with a powder-coated finish. The 6-inch pedals have a laser-cut tread surface meant to bite in wet or muddy conditions, and the hollow step design lets water and debris drain instead of pooling. The company rates them at 550 pounds of support.
Installation is bolt-on, with welded brackets and no drilling. Two caveats straight from the listing: the plastic DEF tank cover needs trimming, and the factory rock rail side steps have to come off first. OEDRO also suggests professional installation — so factor in a shop visit.
The carpet is the real casualty
Mud, beach sand, snowmelt, a dropped smoothie. Factory carpet absorbs it and never really lets go. Stained, smelly floors are a resale-value problem as much as an aesthetic one.
The fix here is a set of TPE all-weather liners shaped by 3D laser scanning to follow the truck’s interior contours. Raised edges and deep channels hold the mess in place; pull them out, shake or rinse, and drop them back in. OEDRO calls the material non-toxic and family-safe, which matters if kids or dogs are regular passengers.
The kit covers front driver and passenger plus a rear liner, and it’s cut for Crew Cab trucks with a bench seat.

Give the loose gear somewhere to live
Tool bags, jumper cables, a rain jacket, two fishing rods that never quite fit. Everything slides across the cab on the first hard brake and sits in plain sight when you park.
OEDRO’s under-seat storage box converts that dead space beneath the rear bench into hidden, divided storage. It’s molded from upgraded PP plastic with extra compartments so tools, winter gear and sports equipment don’t end up in one heap. Mounting uses included screws, and the listing quotes roughly five minutes of installation.
It fits both Double Cab and Crew Cab versions of the same model-year ranges as the mats.
Order of operations matters
Doing all three in one weekend works, but sequence it properly. The storage box goes in first — it’s the quickest job and needs to be secured before the mats go down. Mats second. Running boards last, since that’s the labor-heavy one and worth booking a pro for.
Before clicking buy, spend two minutes confirming your cab style, truck class and seat configuration. The floor mats, in particular, assume a bench seat.
A truck is supposed to make the day smoother. A proper step up, floors that wipe clean in seconds and a permanent home for your gear are small wins — but you’ll feel them every time you open the door.
