Tesla Opens Fleet Buyer Interest Form for Cybercab Robotaxi, But Individual FSD Owners Still Wait

Tesla is now collecting expressions of interest from fleet operators and infrastructure providers who want to build Robotaxi networks or offer related services. The company has begun circulating a “Robotaxi interest form” aimed at non-Tesla entities — the first concrete move toward letting outside businesses generate revenue through Tesla’s FSD driver-assist software. This signals a commercial channel for the Cybercab program beyond Tesla’s own operations.

However, the development leaves individual Tesla owners who purchased FSD with unmet expectations. Many were told their vehicles could eventually operate as autonomous robotaxis and earn passive income while their owners were otherwise occupied. That promise remains unfulfilled as the company prioritizes fleet-scale partnerships over the consumer-side vision it promoted.

The interest form’s distribution does not guarantee vehicle deliveries, service timelines, or pricing details — Tesla has not disclosed such specifics.
