A new trend has emerged among a subset of Tesla owners: documenting themselves while abusing the Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature. What was once done discreetly is now being filmed, captioned, and posted for social media attention. These videos, spanning platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X, show drivers sleeping at highway speeds, playing video games with handheld controllers, watching live TV, or answering emails on laptops. Almost every clip features behavior that is clearly illegal in the country where it was recorded, yet it’s being shared as a badge of honor rather than a reckless act.
