Silver Blue 1964 Corvette Coupe Heads to Auction With No Reserve

A 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe finished in Silver Blue is drawing attention after being listed with no reserve, and bidding has already climbed past $41,000. The car is being offered out of Cambridge, Minnesota, and the auction still has time left for interested buyers to step in.
The second-generation Corvette arrived in 1963 to strong demand, and Chevrolet moved 22,229 examples the following year after dropping the polarizing split rear window from the coupe. This particular car left the factory in Code 912 Silver Blue, and its paint still presents well, with only minor chips noted and no fiberglass problems. Underneath, some components show surface corrosion, though the frame appears structurally solid.
Power comes from an optional L75 327ci V8 rated at 300 horsepower and 360 ft-lbs of torque, paired with a three-speed manual gearbox, a Posi rear end, and power brakes. That manual is a genuine rarity, as only 715 Corvettes were built with it that year, making the more common four-speed and Powerglide automatic far easier to find. The listing notes the drivetrain is numbers-matching, and the seller has fitted new KYB shocks since buying the car earlier this year and adding roughly 500 miles.
Inside, the cabin wears its correct Code 490BB Blue vinyl, which remains in generally good shape with no tears or splits. The carpet shows discoloration in areas left unprotected by mats, and the steering wheel has developed cracks, but the dashboard, gauges, and plastic trim are all in strong condition. The original AM/FM radio is still present, though aftermarket speakers have been added to the rear cargo area.
