Shanghai Auto Show 2027 Dates Confirmed, Organizers Add Embodied AI Pavilion

Organizers of the Shanghai Auto Show have locked in April 23 to May 2, 2027 for the next edition of the event, according to a schedule released this week. The gathering will once again anchor China’s auto exhibition calendar, following the Beijing Auto Show’s turn in 2026.

Floor space is projected to reach 400,000 square meters, a step up from the 380,000 square meters booked for the 2026 Beijing show. That expanded footprint reflects how automakers continue to treat China’s flagship expos as launchpads for new models and technology demonstrations.

A notable addition for 2027 is a dedicated zone for embodied AI, a sign that the show’s scope is widening beyond conventional vehicles toward robotics and intelligent systems. The feature points to growing overlap between the auto sector and the broader AI hardware ecosystem in China.
