Mahle starts making e-compressors at new Indian plant

Mahle has begun producing electric compressors at a new facility in Coimbatore, India. When operating at full capacity, the plant is expected to turn out over 300,000 units each year, making it a key addition to the company’s global manufacturing network.

The compressors are central to the thermal management of electric vehicles, helping to keep battery packs and cabins at the right temperatures. By localizing production in India, Mahle can better serve the rapidly growing EV market in the region while also reducing supply chain complexity.
