MAHLE Secures DC/DC Converter Supply Deal with Chinese EV Maker

German automotive supplier MAHLE has landed a new contract to supply DC/DC converters to an electric vehicle manufacturer based in China. The order adds to MAHLE’s growing electrification portfolio, as the company continues to position itself as a key component supplier for the global EV transition.

The DC/DC converter plays a central role in electric vehicles by stepping down voltage from the high-voltage traction battery to power lower-voltage systems and accessories. Securing a volume order from a Chinese EV producer signals confidence in MAHLE’s power electronics capabilities at a time when competition among suppliers is intensifying.

China remains the world’s largest EV market, and component makers are increasingly competing for contracts with domestic automakers there. MAHLE has been expanding its electrification operations across multiple regions, betting that demand for power electronics will keep rising as more models go electric.
