Leapmotor Moves C10 onto New 3.5 Electrical Architecture for 2027

Leapmotor has rolled out a 2027 model-year refresh for its C10, a D-segment SUV, centred on a switch to the company’s 3.5 electrical and electronic platform. The hardware swap lets the brand bundle in a broader driver-assistance suite: the C10 now carries 22 such functions, five more than before.

On the battery-electric side, the Pro variant with a 69.9kWh pack now delivers 165kW and 360Nm, paired with a 430km range. Its peak rapid-charging rate rises from 84kW to 120kW, enabling a 30–80% top-up in 24 minutes. The rear-drive ProMax, fitted with an 81.9kWh battery, produces 220kW over 510km, while a dual-motor version pushes output to 420kW and covers 0–100km/h in 5.0 seconds.

A revised sensor package combines a single forward camera with five radars, including two front-corner units and a forward radar, enabling features such as automatic lane change and front cross-traffic braking. Inside, Leap OS 4.0 Plus runs on a 14.6-inch display and brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a voice assistant that uses ChatGPT-based online search.

Because the new architecture underpins most of these upgrades, the update is as much an electronics story as a powertrain one. Cargo capacity also improves: battery models gain 27 litres for 500 litres total, while the range-extender version rises from 400 to 440 litres. The range-extender’s combined range now reaches 986km.
