Horizon Aircraft Partners with BETA Technologies for Flight Control System

Canadian electric aviation company Horizon Aircraft has selected BETA Technologies to supply the flight control system for its Cavorite X5, a hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft. The partnership aims to leverage BETA’s expertise in electric propulsion and control systems to enhance the aircraft’s performance and safety.

Horizon’s Cavorite X5 is designed to carry up to five passengers and is targeted for applications such as air taxi services, medical evacuation, and cargo delivery. By integrating BETA’s flight control technology, Horizon seeks to accelerate the development and certification of its aircraft, positioning itself in the growing advanced air mobility market.

BETA Technologies, known for its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and charging infrastructure, continues to expand its influence in the electric aviation sector through strategic collaborations.
