Gazelle Expands Ultimate E-Bike Line with Three Affordable Class 1 Models

Gazelle is broadening its Ultimate e-bike family with three new Class 1 models designed for riders who value a natural, bicycle-like feel over raw speed. The Dutch manufacturer, long known for premium builds, has introduced the Ultimate T10, Ultimate C5, and Ultimate C380, all featuring pedal-assist only and a starting price of $3,499.
The Ultimate T10 serves as the new entry point at 3,999, the Ultimate C5 is a new addition for the North American market, swapping the derailleur for a Gates carbon belt drive and a Shimano Nexus 5-speed internally geared hub, which reduces maintenance and keeps things cleaner. At the top of the range, the $4,499 Ultimate C380 combines a Gates belt drive with an Enviolo continuously variable transmission for seamless shifting, along with Bosch’s Kiox display with navigation.
All three share the redesigned Ultimate platform and geometry introduced earlier this year on the Class 3 Speed models, including an upright riding position, wider tires, a suspension seatpost, and an air-sprung suspension fork. A 540Wh Bosch battery is internally mounted, with options to upgrade to 800Wh or add the PowerMore 250 range extender. Bosch Smart System integration, Kiox or Purion displays depending on the model, Gazelle’s Intellimount smartphone holder, and automatic brake lights round out the package.
While much of the North American e-bike market chases more power, bigger batteries, and motorcycle-inspired designs, Gazelle is taking a different path. These new models remain sophisticated but are built around a simple premise: you pedal, the motor assists, and the ride feels like a genuinely nice bicycle. The Ultimate T10, C5, and C380 are available now through Gazelle dealers in the US and Canada.
