Daimler Truck Defence Partners with PGZ for Local Engine Assembly in Poland

Daimler Truck Defence has reached an agreement with Polish defence group PGZ to assemble engines within Poland. This arrangement allows PGZ to produce German-designed engines domestically, tackling a longstanding challenge in Poland’s defence procurement efforts: reliance on foreign supply chains.

The deal reflects a broader trend in Europe’s defence industry, where local assembly and manufacturing are increasingly prioritised to reduce external dependencies.
