Chroma PowerPro 5 Gains GB/T 27930 Charge Playback for EV Testing

Chroma has introduced a new charge playback capability within its PowerPro 5 test software, allowing engineers to replay CAN bus data from actual charging sessions directly through the Chroma 8000 test platform. This feature is designed to streamline validation and debugging by replicating recorded charging events on the test bench with high fidelity.

The playback function is fully aligned with GB/T 27930, the Chinese standard for communication between EV chargers and battery management systems. By using real-world data, engineers can now reproduce specific charging scenarios without the need for physical vehicles or on-site sessions, making it easier to identify issues and verify performance under controlled conditions.
