ChargePoint and Cariqa Join Forces for QR Code Ad Hoc Payments

Berlin-based startup Cariqa has announced a new partnership with ChargePoint, a major U.S. charging network operator. This collaboration enables charging station operators to use Cariqa’s platform for QR code-based ad hoc payments, simplifying the payment process for EV drivers who don’t have a charging card or app subscription.

Instead of needing multiple apps or RFID cards, drivers can simply scan a QR code at the charging station and pay directly via their smartphone. Cariqa’s solution is designed to be flexible and user-friendly, reducing barriers for occasional users and tourists.
