CATL and J&T Express Join Forces for 5,000 Electric Truck Swapping Stations

Chinese battery giant CATL has inked a strategic pact with logistics firm J&T Express to roll out battery-swapping services for a fleet of 5,000 plus heavy-duty electric trucks. The agreement, formalized at the end of June 2026, marks a significant push into commercial vehicle electrification.

Under the collaboration, CATL will supply specialized swapping batteries and manage the operational backend for J&T’s trucks, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient fleet management. This move aligns with China’s growing emphasis on reducing emissions in the logistics sector.
