Carvana Turns Stellantis Dealers Into National Competitors, Leaving a Service Gap

Carvana has expanded its online car sales to include Stellantis brands, allowing its network of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram dealers to compete for customers across the country. This nationwide approach means buyers can purchase vehicles from these brands online and have them delivered, regardless of location.
While this widens the reach for participating dealerships, it also creates a service gap. Because these sales are conducted remotely, customers may find it difficult to get local maintenance and repairs. Traditional Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram dealers that are not part of Carvana’s network can step in to fill that void, offering service to owners who bought their vehicles online.
The shift highlights how online retail is reshaping the dealership landscape, creating opportunities for physical locations to attract new service business even as sales move increasingly digital.
