Cachet Wraps Up €4.5M Round as It Turns Its First Profitable Year

Cachet, an insurance technology firm headquartered in Estonia, is putting the finishing touches on a €4.5 million funding round. The company is targeting expansion of both its insurance offerings and its sales team with the fresh capital. Cachet focuses on insurance products built specifically for shared mobility operators, a niche that has grown alongside the scooter and bike-sharing boom.

The raise follows a milestone year for the company. Cachet more than doubled its annual recurring revenue and, for the first time, closed a full calendar year in the black on an EBITDA basis in 2025. Reaching positive EBITDA is a notable step for a young insurtech, since the sector has often struggled to combine rapid growth with sustainable unit economics.

Shared mobility providers — the operators running e-scooter fleets, bike-share systems and other on-demand transport services — face a particular set of insurance challenges. Fleets are distributed across cities, riders are anonymous, and accident or damage claims can pile up quickly. That complexity has created demand for specialized underwriting and claims tools rather than generic policies.

Cachet’s decision to scale its sales organization suggests the company sees room to win more operator contracts as the shared mobility market matures. With the funding round nearing completion, the Estonian firm appears positioned to build on its profitable year rather than simply chase growth at any cost.
