BYD Hits Midpoint Goal: 10,000 Flash Chargers Now Live Across China

When BYD rolled out the second-gen Flash Charger earlier this year, the automaker set an ambitious target of deploying 20,000 units nationwide by year-end. The company has just confirmed that it has already installed half of that number, marking a significant milestone in its fast-charging network expansion.

The T-shaped stations, each equipped with two cables and a combined output of 1,500 kW, are designed to dramatically cut charging times for EV owners. BYD’s rapid rollout reflects both strong manufacturing capacity and the growing demand for high-power charging infrastructure in China’s competitive EV market.

With just a few months left in the year, hitting the full 20,000-unit goal appears well within reach, especially given the pace of installations so far.
