BMW iX4 Debuts as Electric SUV-Coupé with 450 kW M60 xDrive, Priced from €70,900

BMW iX4 Debuts as Electric SUV-Coupé with 450 kW M60 xDrive, Priced from €70,900

BMW has pulled the wraps off the iX4, a new electric SUV-coupé that slots between the iX3 and the larger iX5 in the brand’s growing ‘Neue Klasse’ lineup. The model is the latest addition to BMW’s next-generation electric family, which is built around a dedicated platform and a fresh design language.

The iX4 will arrive with three all-wheel-drive variants, giving buyers a choice of performance levels. At the top of the range sits the iX4 M60 xDrive, which produces 450 kW and promises particularly strong acceleration. BMW has not yet detailed the full specifications of the other two AWD versions, but the trio will cover a broad spread of the premium electric SUV-coupé segment.

Pricing for the new model starts at €70,900 in Europe, placing it above the iX3 and below the larger iX5 in BMW’s electric portfolio. That positioning puts the iX4 in direct competition with other sporty electric crossovers that blend coupé-like styling with SUV practicality.

The launch of the iX4 underscores BMW’s ongoing push to expand its Neue Klasse range, which is intended to underpin a new generation of EVs with improved efficiency, charging capability and software. As the lineup grows, the iX4 will serve as the sportier, more design-focused option for customers who want a sleeker silhouette without stepping up to the iX5.

Full technical details, including range, battery capacity and charging speeds, are expected to be announced closer to the market launch. For now, BMW has confirmed the three all-wheel-drive variants, the 450 kW output of the M60 xDrive and the €70,900 starting price, giving a clear first look at how the iX4 will fit into the brand’s electric future.
