A Well-Preserved 1975 Buick Regal Colonnade Coupe Hits the Market in Florida

Buick introduced the Regal for 1973 as a personal luxury two-door, and it quickly became one of the brand’s most recognizable nameplates. Underneath, the early cars rode on GM’s Colonnade A-body platform, a design that did away with the true pillarless hardtops of earlier years and gave the coupes their signature fixed rear quarter window. A 1975 example is now up for sale near Cape Coral, Florida, carrying an asking price of $15,500.

While the base Regal of this era came with a 231-cubic-inch V6, the seller claims this one is fitted with a V8, which points to the familiar 350 mated to a TH-350 automatic. For 1975, federal bumper regulations pushed the car’s nose and tail outward, though the overall silhouette carried through largely unchanged from its 1973 debut. Buick built 56,600 Regals for the 1975 model year, and sales across the line took a dip during the fuel crises before recovering later in the decade.

Documentation on this car is thin. The odometer reads 77,000 miles, described as original, and the paint has reportedly been resprayed after decades of wear, with fresh emblems installed at the same time. The interior appears largely stock in the photos provided. A batch of spare parts is said to be included, though the listing does not specify what those pieces are.

Over its long run, the Regal spanned six generations and remained in Buick’s North American lineup until 2020, when GM shifted its focus toward SUVs and stepped away from traditional sedans. This particular car is being offered through a private online listing, and the seller has indicated a willingness to accept cryptocurrency in place of cash.
