Xpeng G9L Flagship Electric SUV Launches in Europe from €74,600

Xpeng has officially opened the order books for its new flagship electric SUV, the G9L, with pricing starting at €74,600 in Germany. The launch coincides with the vehicle’s public debut at the Paris Motor Show, marking a significant expansion for the brand across 64 countries. The first customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in December 2026.
The G9L is built on an 800-volt architecture and boasts a peak DC charging capability of 540 kW. While such high speeds require specific charging infrastructure that is still rare in Europe, the technology positions the vehicle for future compatibility. Under ideal conditions, the 110 kWh gross battery can replenish from 10 to 80 percent in under 12 minutes, and a 22 kW AC charger is included as standard for home charging.
Xpeng is initially offering three variants, all featuring the top-tier ‘Ultra’ trim. The lineup includes a rear-wheel-drive Long Range model with 270 kW (367 hp) and up to 591 km of WLTP range, priced at €74,600. Two all-wheel-drive Performance versions deliver 430 kW (585 hp) and up to 553 km of range, with prices set at €79,600 for the six-seater and €85,600 for the seven-seater configuration.
The interior emphasizes luxury and technology, featuring Nappa leather seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. A standout feature is the AI-controlled Active Adaptive Seating system, which adjusts to the occupant’s body shape. Rear passengers can enjoy a 21.4-inch 3K entertainment screen that retracts from the ceiling, paired with a 23-speaker sound system.
The G9L is equipped with Xpeng’s Turing AI chips, laying the groundwork for the Next Generation Pilot (NGP) system. Subject to regulatory approval, an OTA update in 2027 is expected to enable Level 2++ partially automated driving. European units will be manufactured by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria, following the SKD method already used for other Xpeng models in the region.
