XPENG Closes Q3 2026 With Record Quarterly Deliveries

XPENG wrapped up the third quarter of 2026 on a high note, setting a quarterly delivery record and coming within a whisker of another monthly best. September brought 41,256 vehicles to customers, a 5.5% gain over August, though the figure slipped 0.8% against the same month a year earlier. Nine-month sales remained 9.2% below the prior year’s pace, a gap the company attributes to a sluggish opening to 2026. Even so, the quarter itself expanded 15% from the previous three months and edged up 2% year over year.
The Guangzhou-based automaker also gave a snapshot of its charging footprint. As of September 30, its self-operated network in China spanned more than 430 cities with over 4,000 stations, among them more than 3,510 ultra-fast locations and upwards of 22,200 individual piles. A milestone came on September 15 when XPENG switched on its first X-Energy megawatt ultra-fast charging station in Hong Kong.
On the environmental side, XPENG estimates the electric vehicles it handed over from January through September 2026 will avoid more than 4.14 million tons of life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions relative to combustion-engine equivalents — a figure the company likens to the carbon sequestered by 68.53 million young trees over a decade. Taken together, the figures suggest the company’s momentum is rebuilding after a soft start to the year.
